Ideal Boilers launches complete Renewables Solution

Leading heating specialist, Ideal Boilers, has launched 'Ideal Renewable Solutions', a new renewables package providing air source, ground source and solar options for domestic installations. These latest products complement Ideal's range of high efficiency condensing boilers and see the company offering one of the 's most comprehensive domestic heating ranges. 

Two new products are launched as part of the new renewables offer: 'Ideal GroundTherm' ground source heat pump and 'Ideal AirTherm' air source heat pump. The package is completed with Ideal Solar, the company's proven solar thermal system, to provide a solution to maximise the three primary renewable energy sources.

Ideal has been at the forefront of the drive for energy efficient heating, leading the development of high efficiency condensing boilers in the 1980s, and Ideal Renewable Solutions continues this pioneering approach. These latest technologies provide a renewable energy solution for any domestic application, meeting the increasing demand for low carbon home heating and giving installers a strong solution to respond to homeowner's needs, said Dave Simpson, marketing director at Ideal Boilers. 

Ideal AirTherm can deliver hot water at 65°C without the need for supplementary electrical heating back up, out-performing many other air source products and improving energy efficiency. It is compatible with underfloor heating and radiator systems providing COPs of up to 4:1 in heating mode, with a space heating range from 35°C to 55°C. AirTherm is effective at temperatures as low as -15°C, more than meeting the temperature demands of the . The product is available in 4.5kW, 9kW and 12kW units to suit all domestic specifications. 

Ideal GroundTherm is also up to 400% efficient and delivers hot water temperatures of 65°C, unique to the . When providing 100 per cent of space heating and 50 per cent of domestic hot water, it can deliver savings of £1000 per year on energy bills and seven tonnes of CO2, compared to an electric heating system. GroundTherm provides space heating of between 35°C and 55°C and is designed to integrate with radiators and underfloor heating systems. Four sizes are available with power outputs of 3.5kW, 5kW, 8kW and 12kW. 

Ideal Airtherm achieves level three in the Code for Sustainable Homes and Ideal GroundTherm, level four, underlining the value of the technology in meeting the future demand for zero carbon housing. 

Ideal Solar provides a complete solar solution including collectors and all ancillary equipment, suitable for properties of all sizes. Ideal Solar complements an existing hot water storage system, with a typical solar system providing around 50%-60% of an average household's annual domestic hot water. The solar collectors feature a coating to enhance energy absorption, achieving 95% efficiency levels.
